Story Fleming Bloodworth is alone in the world. His mother abandoned him and his cuckolded father is on a quest for vengeance. He has one uncle who exists at the edge of lunacy, another uncle who escaped for the bright lights of Nashville, and a grandmother who is slipping into dementia. His only true companions are his books and dreams of being a writer… then he meets two people who forever transform his world. Through the reckless adventures of his wild uncle, Fleming encounters Raven Lee Halfacre. The bastard daughter of a prostitute, Raven’s life is equally bleak. The teenagers are kindred spirits and for the first time each feels the limitless possibilities of unconditional Love.
