Bloodworth 2011

...Kris Kristofferson, Val Kilmer and Dwight Yoakam are compelling in beautifully lived-in, vanity-free performances ~Sheri Linden, Los Angeles Times

Based on the 2000 Novel by Tennessee Author William Gay

Story Fleming Bloodworth is alone in the world. His mother abandoned him and his cuckolded father is on a quest for vengeance. He has one uncle who exists at the edge of lunacy, another uncle who escaped for the bright lights of Nashville, and a grandmother who is slipping into dementia. His only true companions are his books and dreams of being a writer… then he meets two people who forever transform his world.

Through the reckless adventures of his wild uncle, Fleming encounters Raven Lee Halfacre. The bastard daughter of a prostitute, Raven’s life is equally bleak. The teenagers are kindred spirits and for the first time each feels the limitless possibilities of unconditional Love. As if falling head over heels in love were not enough, the following morning Fleming meets the grandfather he has never known.

E.F. Bloodworth left forty years ago and never looked back. His life has been spent chasing whiskey, women, and song. However, the time has come to face the demons of his wanton past. It is only through the relationship that develops between him and his grandson that E.F. has any hope of redemption.

What Fleming does not know is that both Raven and E.F. each harbor dark secrets – secrets that can destroy them all. A storm is brewing and Fleming is trapped in its eye. He must weather the darker provinces of night in order to find the hope of a new dawn.

Cast Val Kilmer, Kris Kristofferson, Hilary Duff and Dwight Yoakam.

FYI Bloodworth will be available on DVD June 28, 2011 and can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.com.
